Originally from Indianapolis, Vaz earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 2021, following her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2018. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist with specialized training in sensory-motor techniques, including Finding Safety & Stability and the Astronaut Training Protocol by Vital Links.
Vaz has worked in various pediatric settings including in-home and outpatient therapy, therapeutic/alternative schools, and community-based mental health. She has also gained valuable OT experience at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for adults, diversifying her clinical skills and care across the lifespan. Before becoming an OT, Vaz worked as a teaching assistant at a children’s learning center & preschool, where she discovered her "home" in pediatric settings.
Vaz is passionate about embracing neurodiversity, advocating for LGBTQ+ and culturally diverse individuals, and integrating trauma-informed practices into her work. Her approach is profoundly influenced by her personal experiences as an AuDHD and South Asian-American woman, shaping her authentic and empathetic style of care. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where clients feel empowered and validated in expressing their true selves. Her practice centers on building meaningful connections, fostering community care and advocacy, and providing compassionate, straightforward support.
Outside of work, Vaz enjoys taking it easy (possibly napping), engaging in her special interests, exploring nature, and going on adventures with her husband & two pups.
Katy is an RVA native who lives in Midlothian with her two children. She received her BS in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her MS in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development through Southern New Hampshire University. She has received training in several therapeutic modalities, including Infant Massage Education and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Katy is registered through the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C).
Katy spent 5 years working in the field of Early Intervention supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays. She has served as a clinic facilitator for interdisciplinary autism evaluations. She has also worked as a Case Manager for children and adolescents in the community mental health setting for children of all ages.
Katy has lived experience both as a late-identified neurodivergent adult (AuDHD) and as the parent of two neurodivergent children. They are passionate about advocating for neurodiversity-affirming approaches for children and adults of all ages. Other passion areas include promoting disability rights, educational advocacy, autistic joy, and supporting queer and trans youth.
Julia is an occupational therapist originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania, now based in Richmond, VA. She earned a combined bachelor's and master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Scranton in August 2024. Julia's OT experience includes working in outpatient pediatrics and inpatient acute care. Before becoming an OT, she worked as a ski instructor, camp counselor, and photographer.
As an AuDHD clinician and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Julia is passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and child-led therapy. She believes in fostering a collaborative relationship with children and their families, prioritizing autonomy, connection, and play-based learning. Her approach focuses on celebrating each child’s unique strengths while providing support that aligns with their sensory, emotional, and relational needs. She is especially interested in supporting healthy relationships, self-advocacy, and emotional regulation in ways that empower neurodivergent individuals. Additionally, Julia became a certified Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) provider in June 2025, further enhancing her ability to support sensory and emotional regulation.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys reading, being in nature, and spending time with her cat.
Crystal Stokes is a parent coach and community mentor with over a decade of experience supporting neurodivergent youth and families. Holding a B.A. in Theatre and an M.S. in Psychology, she blends creativity, psychological insight, and lived experience to create affirming, collaborative spaces where clients feel truly seen and supported. Her professional background includes roles as an I/DD support coordinator, therapeutic mentor for teens, and director of Frank Community Farm—an inclusive employment training program for neurodivergent adults. For her leadership and advocacy, Crystal was honored as a community "sHERoe" by Her Collective of Richmond.
As a neurodivergent individual, Crystal has a deep understanding of the challenges within a neurotypical world. Her path to self-acceptance, shaped by coaching in her late 20s, informs her compassionate, strengths-focused approach. She embraces the intersections of queerness, neurodivergence, and diverse cultural backgrounds, drawing on her lived experience to support individuals and families with similar journeys. Using positive behavior support, executive functioning strategies, and trauma-informed care, Crystal guides parents in raising neurodivergent children while also supporting their own needs. She creates a warm, respectful environment grounded in attentive listening and genuine connection.
Outside of work, Crystal enjoys hiking with her dogs, drumming, farming, and drinking what she affectionately calls “ungodly amounts” of tea.
Sarah is a dedicated advocate and educator specializing in Autism and ADHD (AuDHD) support for families in Richmond, VA. Receiving diagnoses as a neurodivergent adult was a transformative experience for Sarah, inspiring a passionate advocacy for neurodivergent individuals and emphasizing the importance of acceptance and accommodation.
With extensive experience spanning over 13 years in child development, family advocacy, and personalized service coordination, Sarah offers a wealth of expertise in their field. Their professional background includes founding an educational program and advocating for families across medical, educational, and legal contexts. Certified in High Fidelity Wraparound service coordination, Sarah focuses on providing specialized support to neurodivergent children and families, with a strong emphasis on academic supports, trauma-informed care, and mental health advocacy.
Sarah's approach centers on compassionate, personalized support that recognizes and meets the unique needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families. They are passionate about empowering others to advocate for themselves and create environments where they can thrive.
